I'm a "value investor", who has a tendency to be a contrarian, and investor of survivor companies, specially in such a scenario like today.
While stock picking i found some stocks, that interested me, but nevertheless i believe i need a reality shock about them:
* **$KVUE:** The former consumer division of J & J, is an underrated gem their P/E (22) is not that diferent from other pharma companies, they have big house brands and products (Tylenol, Johnson's Baby, Neutrogena, Listerine, Band-Aid), and good statistics. Their merger with kimberly will create a mastodon for consumercare.
* **$WLY:** Although media and publishers are a hard business, wiley has some good finances (16 P/E, ROE is 13%) and owns a huge knowledge base, that can be used by AI companies, alongside the normal person too, i use their "For Dummies" guides and it's good stuff, it's reddit on books.
* **$CMCSA:** Huge company that offload the most problematic assets in Versant, and is a megazord containing Universal Pictures, NBC, DreamWorks, SKY, Peacock, Intelectual Property is huge. P/E is just 5.
* **$SONY:** Good Financials Low P/E and Debt. Simply Sony, the producer of Playstation Platform, amazing headphones (i own one), the owner of Columbia Pictures. Just like Comcast it is streamling its activities and the TCL joint venture is no different from before when sony used LG and Samsung parts in its tv's.
* **$MRK:** I Consider Merck a defensive stock, is an extremelly important company, that is on the Oncology and Vaccines, They have very good financials and a solid ROE and Margin.
* **$CMCL:** This is a very polemical stock, because it's a gold mining company on a developing country (Zimbabwe). But i like Mining companies (I sucessfully bought some $VALE is that is a freaking monster in my country Brazil, with Iron, Nickel, Cooper, Gold). Even though they are cyclical stocks, i sense there is some opportunities with Caledonia. Although the company is in a risky country and business, i was impressed with the company transparency and finances. And Gold, even peaking is still on the rise, therefore i believe it's still possible to extract some value, at least this year.
These are my two cents, what do you think ?
