AmpliTech designs and builds high-tech electronic components and systems that help satellites communicate, speed up 5G and 6G networks, support quantum computing, and strengthen defense technologies by using advanced components that boost signals, reduce noise, and make communications faster and more reliable.
They make the "ears" of the satellites.
Here’s the first of several space-adjacent stocks I’ve found that could offer meaningful upside with solid downside protection, driven by cheap valuation and real growth.
STRONG AND CLEAN SIGNALS
When a satellite is orbiting 300 miles above Earth, the signals it receives are incredibly faint.
$AMPG specializes in Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), a hardware that can pick up a whisper-quiet signal and boost it so it’s loud and clear, without adding "static" (noise) that would ruin the data.
They operate through three main pillars:
âś…Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs): Their bread and butter. They hold industry records for "noise figures," meaning their amplifiers are among the cleanest in the world.
âś…MMIC Design Center: They design their own chips (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits). Instead of buying generic chips from a supplier, they build custom, tiny, high-performance chips that fit inside satellites and 5G towers.
âś…Open RAN (ORAN) 5G: They are moving into the 5G hardware space, building the actual radios that cellular providers use to beam internet to your phone.
THE PERFECT LEO STORM
SpaceX (Starlink), Amazon (Project Kuiper), and many others plan to launch tens of thousands of satellites in LEO. This creates a massive tailwind for AmpliTech for three reasons:
✅The Power Efficiency Requirement: AmpliTech’s LNAs are designed to be extremely "low power dissipating." The less power the "ears" use, the more power the satellite has for other tasks.
✅The Speed Gap: To provide high-speed internet (Gbps), satellites use high-frequency bands (Ka, Ku, and X bands). Signals at these frequencies are very fragile. AmpliTech’s specialty is precisely these high-frequency bands where "normal" amplifiers fail to keep the signal clean.
âś…Vertical Integration (Made in USA): Many large satellite providers (especially for defense) now require components that are not sourced from overseas. AmpliTech owns its design and packaging, making them a "safe" domestic supplier for the US space industry.
While $RKLB and $ASTS are building the satellites, $AMPG is selling LNAs that make those satellites functional.
This is why they are forecasting a jump in revenues from $25M in 2025 to $50M+ in 2026.
They are moving from the "testing" phase into "mass production" orders.
FY2026 CREDIBILITY
The revenue jump from $10.7M (2024) to $25M (2025) to $50M (2026) isn't based on "hoping" for new customers. It is based on:
âś…Backlog: Converting existing LOIs into purchase orders.
âś…Product Shift: Moving from selling $5,000 hand-built amplifiers to $500 mass-produced MMIC chips that are sold by the thousands.
✅Made in USA: AmpliTech’s chip designs (from their Texas design center) have become a required choice for many defense-linked satellite projects.
CUSTOMERS AND PARTNERS
🗓️In mid-2025, AmpliTech confirmed it had received a substantial order from a Fortune 500 aerospace giant (widely speculated to be Boeing or Lockheed Martin) for its proprietary Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs).
These components are being integrated into the next generation of satellite payloads designed for deep-space communication and high-capacity LEO data relay.
➕The management has also referenced a significant Letter of Intent (LOI) with a European satellite manufacturer (likely Thales Alenia Space or Airbus Defence and Space).
This involves AmpliTech’s new MMIC (chip-scale) technology. Because these chips are much smaller and lighter than traditional amplifiers, they are ideal for the mass-production requirements of mega-constellations.
➕AmpliTech is currently working with several LEO operators to install the ground-based dishes that talk to the satellites.
For every constellations, you need ground stations on every continent. $AMPG is positioning itself as the "end-to-end" provider by selling the hardware inside the satellite and the hardware in the ground station.
VALUATION
$AMPG trades at a very low valuation (FY2026) compared with the most popular space stocks, reflecting its early revenue scale and overlooked status.
I expect them to eventually trade at premiums once they become profitable, thanks to stable defense budgets and long contract tails.
\*Note: It’s not entirely fair to compare this to a company like $ASTS which is projecting explosive revenue growth in 2027 and beyond. But that’s exactly the point here. Nearer-term revenues tend to come with a lower risk profile, and that’s the trade-off I’m highlighting.
BOTTOM LINE
AmpliTech is a solid "pick and shovel" space play, they don’t need to win the satellite race war, just sell the radios to whoever does.
With revenue set to double once again this year, gross profits above 20%, a move into high-volume chip production, and a “Buy American” tailwind, the company is fundamentally strong and positioned to benefit from anyone dominating sat comms and networking.
