Screening tool concept: finding patterns in historical data - would this be useful?

Hi! I'm working on an idea of building a screening tool that can look for patterns in historical data. Instead of just filtering "companies with revenue > $X", you could screen for "Debt-to-equity decreasing while revenue increasing over last 6 quarters" or "Companies where operating cash flow has exceeded net income for 8+ consecutive quarters" Do you already know a tool able to filter these types of screens? Is this something you'd find valuable in your research process? What types of historical patterns would you want to screen for?
