Hey all,
I invest pretty casually, and one thing that kept bugging me was how hard it is to answer simple questions like:
“Why is Netflix down today?”
“Did something actually happen or is this just random market noise?”
Every time, I’d open 5 different tabs. One news article would blame macro, another would mention earnings, another would talk about some analyst downgrade. Half the time I still felt confused.
So over the past few months, I started building a small tool for myself that just tries to summarize what’s actually going on in plain English.
You can type in questions about your stocks and it pulls together recent news and data into one explanation. Recently I added the ability to connect a brokerage account so it can automatically show what’s moving and why.
I honestly built this for my own use, but a few friends tried it and it slowly grew from there. It’s still very early and definitely not perfect.
I’m mostly posting here because I’d love honest feedback from other people who invest and get overwhelmed by information like I do. Does this solve a real problem or am I overthinking it?
If anyone’s curious, I can drop the link in the comments.
Happy to answer questions about how I built it or what broke along the way.
