Hey this might be a bit of a rant to be fair. It has a lot do with value investing though.
Now i didn't know about this, but maybe some of you can confirm if i am not the only one to know or yes that i have just had my head buried in the sand.
Is it true that a little bio company by the name of IO Biotech has the closest thing to a cure for cancer ever in mankinds history?
Then to follow that up, is it true that good old USA's FDA, read the phase 2 data and were like......naaaaah lads, this isnt it. Bear in mind they are only allowed to use this product on Stage 5 cancer patient s, because 'Standard of care" and all that jazz. Heaven forbid you actually save lives.
Anyway, is it true that after finding out that this aggressive, live cancer vaccine (also known as a miracle)......Only prolonged those stage 5 cancer patients lives by an average of 19.4 months, which according to the FDA is only an appalling 8.4 months longer then the existing best treatment?
Now i might be incorrect in the lil speel above. If i am close to to facts though, Like are we just F\*\*ked as planet? We are going to shelve the best thing, a literal medical breakthrough, because it missed a numeric 0.0006 marker saying it isnt better then the previous drug, even though it damn near doubled their life expectancy.
We are lost man.
Anyway, on to the company it self.....I think its really undervalued boys, could be a good long play ya know. Their moat looks pretty cool, lets see if you can get those mediocre treatments off the ground.
Peace.
