Warren Buffett said Philip Carret had "the best long-term investment record of anyone I know." From 1928 to 1983, Carret's Pioneer Fund turned $10K into $8 million - 12.9% annually vs. the S&P's 8%. But before he launched that fund, he wrote a series of articles in Barron's that laid out his entire philosophy. The year was 1926. Speculation was rampant. Easy money was everywhere. Sound familiar?
