This is just a thought I had the other day. Let’s say someone has a million dollars and puts it into let’s say the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF, can they live on the interest alone. From what I’ve saw the annual growth average is 10% so even just taking 5% out each year would be $50,000 of passive income while your money still grows in the stock. Now a lot of this does depend on how the fund does that year, but it’s a real thought. I’d love to know from people who actually know what they’re talking about. Thanks guys
