I am trying to finish up simplifying my over all portfolio. I am 63 and retired. My wife is 53 and retiring next month. She has no interest in learning any of this. Currently I have the following.
Inherited IRA (6 years left to depleat.) AOA $628,000
Brokerage Account VTSAX $535,000
IRA VASGX $576,000
Roth VTSAX $31,000
HSA S&P 500 $8000
CD's. $100,000
HYSA $184,000 Getting ready to invest $100,000 of this in my Brokerage Account.
Pension $14000 a year.
Social Security when I turn 70 $50,000
My question is what to do as I move money over to my brokerage from my Inherited IRA over the next 6 years. I would like an 80/20 portfolio over all. Do I just start buying AOA or VASGX and not worry about the tax ineficiency and pay the price to keep it simple or is there a better way to approach?
