I did something stupid. I invested in stocks and lost a lot of money: several thousand euros (over €7,000), enough to buy a small car.
What now? I’m overwhelmed by intense guilt, to the point where it’s hard for me to function with myself. For months I followed prices, researched companies, watched YouTube videos, everything was going well, and then one day I fell for a pump-and-dump scheme and lost a huge amount of money. I sold in panic.
I immediately deleted Trading 212 so I wouldn’t try to “win back” what I lost and end up in even bigger trouble. However, I can’t come to terms with the fact that this is now my reality and that I’ll have to work for a year (or more, where I live) just to make up for what I lost through my own stupidity.
How do you make peace with something like this, and has anyone else made similar mistakes in life?
