Prime Minister [NarendraModi](https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/all/?keywords=%23narendramodi&origin=HASH_TAG_FROM_FEED) met [UAEPresident](https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/all/?keywords=%23uaepresident&origin=HASH_TAG_FROM_FEED) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in New Delhi on 19 January, 2026, signing key agreements to boost bilateral ties. Business deals focused on trade expansion, defence, energy, and investments, ideal for engaging social media posts.
Here are the most important business and investment-focused deals:
1. Trade Goal Boost
Both countries aim to double bilateral trade to over $200 billion by 2032. Building on CEPA success (trade already hit $100B+), with extra focus on MSMEs, new markets, Bharat Mart, and Virtual Trade Corridor.
2. Big LNG Energy Deal
$3 billion+ long-term contract: India's HPCL to buy 0.5 million metric tons of LNG per year from UAE's ADNOC for 10 years (starting 2028).
3. Space Infrastructure & Commercialisation
Letter of Intent signed between India's IN-SPACe and UAE Space Agency for joint space infrastructure development and its commercial use. This means new launch sites, satellite facilities, joint missions, training centers, and opening up space business opportunities together.
4. Supercomputing Cluster in India
Agreement to set up a supercomputing cluster in India (with UAE's help). Part of AI push, will boost tech innovation, data power, and digital growth for both sides!
5. Gujarat's Dholera Investment
Letter of Intent signed between Gujarat Govt & UAE Ministry of Investment for massive development in infrastructure, ports, airports, and smart cities.
6. GIFT City Expansion
UAE giants like First [AbuDhabiBank](https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/all/?keywords=%23abudhabibank&origin=HASH_TAG_FROM_FEED) and [DPWorld](https://www.linkedin.com/search/results/all/?keywords=%23dpworld&origin=HASH_TAG_FROM_FEED) to set up offices/operations in Gujarat's GIFT City
