Have a trading sim for a large energy firm (Shell, Total, Glencore) and was wondering how to best prep for it. Most of these firms usually just send out an email that there is no way to prepare and to just give it your best shot but given that making this far is rare for these types of firms I really want to prepare.
What would be the best way of preparing for the trading simulation coming up? Usually I heard that these involve being sent news headlines and trading on that information with a commodity like crude oil. I’m not sure if you’re taking directional views on futures or if it’s some sort of simulation to trading physical and hedging it. Any insight from people who have done these types of assessments would be amazing.
