I don't understand the Hype for the Mutual Funds in india. Every one is obsessed with investing MFs. In fact once you give your money to a business you become liability to them.

In any business money borrowing ultimately comes under the liability column. They need to pay for capital they borrow form investors.
So Why would they pay a major chunk of money to investors ?
Also MF usually comes under very less pledge value.
