Hi all,
I’m expecting a baby soon, and am thinking about setting a portfolio for the kid. We already have sort of a frame of how we want to distribute the funds etc. But this is not why I’m writing this post.
I had this (probably stupid) idea, that for the first year we should invest aggressively - 100% stocks with high risk and high reward potential. And since it’s completely different from my usual investing style I’m asking you;
How would you design such a portfolio?
What stocks would you include? Would it make more sense to diversify as much as I can, or dump everything into one or 2 bigger YOLOs? Maybe there is a commodity that would fit the criteria?
Below some of my assumptions:
More or less equal distribution of funds every month for 12 months, no additional funding afterwards, no impact to my family’s finances if it goes to 0, long term: 18-25 years, no options, I’d rather not go to any ETFs nor crypto (but could be convinced otherwise), let the instrument be available in the US or European stock exchanges.
Thank you in advance!
