How do you know(predict) that there will be dips in the market ?

I'm european and I get my american news little bit late because I'm sleeping. Rocket Lab will go only up same goes for Amazon and Google, but I really want to get invested into individual stocks (mainly focusing on index funds don't worry ) . Also what is the best website to check why specific stock dropped ?
