Last year I wanted to start something new. I got sober the year before that, and when I did, I promised myself I would learn things that would enrich my life so that I could be of better use to others around me. Trading was one of those things. Having almost no money, Robinhood felt like a user friendly place to start. I opened an account and worked with the very little that I had (and still have). I made a lot of very ignorant mistakes, and I’m still learning. I know very little about trading and I get lucky more often than I should.
This trade started to mean something very early on. It was part of my growth. As it grew, I grew. When it lost, I was reminded of my failures, but also reminded of how it’s possible to bounce back. Here we are, over 400% later. Still sober. Still learning. Still making mistakes. Still, reminded of what it means to HOLD and grow. I started out drunk, homeless, and broke. Now, I’m in love, I can be useful to those around me, and I have two places that I can call home. The value of this trade is worth a hell of a lot more than 400%.
