I'm surprised not gonna lie. Today I took a look at how is WSB doing and all I see is gains, maybe one or two losses. Apparently one stonk about rockets was the play. Yesterday, the same pattern. Last week the same pattern. Everybody is only posting their gains. Which some of them are massive.
6000% gains, 1000% gains, 60,000usd to 300,000usd.
It creates a bias that "hey anybody can do it" and you can't lose money if you only see gains posted daily right? Of course if you lost money you will be ashamed and will avoid posting the lost as a sign of failure. But this just reinforces the idea of I will make money no matter what.
I'm an average joe, working 9-5. Gotta cook my microwave food at the end of the day and doing some side gigs. Can't really say I have a tremendous amount of time to sniff if Meta is going to have a meeting in congress any time soon and put some calls because the Zuck will deliver. So I'm surprised the level of mastery everyone is having.
The stock market is only going up. This is because of QE mainly. And yet I can't shake the feeling that the last one holding the bag will get crushed. For 18 years we have only had 2 years that it went down (yes, even when covid happen). So that's why I dont go boobs up with LEAPs. I know because already been there in the wrong side of the track, so don't wanna get obliterated again.
