Investment strategy - thoughts?

Hi all i am not looking for any recommendations regarding stocks I can find that easy on here. I do my regular DD with stock picking when I usually find one on here with a lot of traction, see what they are doing and future plans but I recently discovered on yahoo finance there is a section that shows “52 week gainers” and there is a SHIT TON of stocks on there which in 2025 had a ball. My question is (and please tell me if its a stupid question) because this feels like a no brainer - should I be considering stocks in this category like is it a good indicator?
