I was speaking with someone who works on cell towers, I won’t say which company. But he said the company’s screwed up big time by not getting 600mhz spectrum in the Greater Toronto Area. Apparently it’s supposed to be the best at getting through buildings and concrete like underground parking lots and it’s been a pain since.
He told me to look at the USA and see how T-mobile went big on 600mhz while others didn’t and how it changed the game in the U.S. wireless industry.
How big is the wireless portion in influencing the stock prices of Canadian telecoms? Does it matter a lot or does Internet, cable, media and other things carry more weight?
