This seems like a smart move to speed up patient enrollment and get broader data without burning through cash, and get to the 80 event threshold needed. CEO Dr. Angelos Stergiou stated in the PR “This collaboration allows us to efficiently expand our clinical program into Europe... improving capital efficiency while supporting broader and faster patient enrollment.” What does this mean for patients with AML? SLS009 is an inhibitor that has been showing strong results in AML patients, specifically those with a particularly tough mutation called ASXL1. They had expected to be able to complete their last trial in 2025 once they hit 80 events (deaths) but that never happened. Fewer deaths means that something is going right.
