I don’t have a huge amount to comment on this, but JPow does seem to take his responsibilities very seriously attempting to make up for past mistakes around how they handled Covid. It’s hard not to think of this as being a form of retaliation. I actually had the privilege of meeting J a few years ago, an event for research students to get us interested in the government. I didn’t tell him I’m a degenerate gambler but I did ask him a question about Milton Friedman someone on WSB suggested about inflation as a monetary phenomenon. He basically equivocated as he did to most questions, but he was respectful and took his time to try to teach us about the dual mandate and monetary economics. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out or if it gets dropped like the charges against Comey.
