**Context:** I am a college student in my last semester of college and will soon graduate and begin working a full time job. A little over a year ago I opened a brokerage account and a Roth IRA and began investing a substantial portion of what little extra cash I have as a college student. Nothing crazy, I just wanted to get started early and focus on building the habit of investing. Currently my holdings are 100% VOO in both accounts. Both of these accounts are on SoFi.
At the time of opening the accounts I did very little research on the nuances and differences between investment platforms. My thought at the time and for the most part still is that the differences mostly fall to personal preference and my priority should be to simply build the habit of investing a portion of my income. I chose SoFi for the following reasons.
* I already had an HYSA and did all of my banking with SoFi.
* I like the interface.
* I wanted to keep things simple and focus on building the right habits, not the details.
* SoFi offers VOO with no fees.
Now that I am approaching graduation and a full-time job I expect my retirement/investment contributions to grow substantially. A large portion of that will be in a TSP. The rest will be in a Roth IRA and individual brokerage account.
**Question:** What considerations do/did you all make when choosing an investment platform? I am pretty confident in my thought process above, but I want to know if the community has any thoughts or advice to consider before my contributions get larger.

1. What are the implications/considerations, tax and otherwise, of moving a Roth IRA or brokerage account to another platform?
2. What are the advantages of the "big three" (Vanguard, Schwab, Fidelity) that seem to get the most attention of this sub-reddit.
3. Are there any generic factors to look for or avoid in an investment platform.
**Note:** I am relatively new to all of this. My knowledge background is almost exclusively "The Simple Path to Wealth" and being a member of this sub for a few months. If I seem to have misused any terminology or if anything needs clarification please let me know.
