Hey y'all! I posted a while ago about the reddit sentiment scanner (**rvibestracker**) and since then I have been getting a lot of questions on how to use the Reddit data to inform trading strategy. While everyone will use sentiment data differently based on their needs, we decided to go down a very experimental route to put the Reddit data to the test haha!
Sooo..we built an AI agent and gave it access to a paper trading account to evaluate how it takes the reddit data and trades. It's interesting to see what stocks it picks and its reasoning for doing so! Caveat: It's still early stages and lots of dialling in to be done but I thought it's interesting regardless how far these tools have come and what we can do with it. Just keeping this project open for now as an educational tool but curious to discuss with other quant/data/software engineers who are interested in solving similar problems in stock picking!
