I started investing about 2 years ago and was doing a 4 fund portfolio of VOO,SCHG, spmo, and SCHD
from snooping around here I see I was really just doing VOO with extra steps (minus SPMO since that’s a different strategy)
I want to switch to a more broad approach that is like VTI and VXUS but still has momentum in there because I’m rather bullish on it. Here is what I came up with and my justifications.
60% VTI, 27% SPMO, 3% XSMO, 6.67% VXUS and 3.33% IDMO
I’m still very bullish on the US stock market so that’s why I’m only going 10% international.
I tried to mimic the allocation of large, mid and small cap that is in VTI in my SPMO and XSMO allocation
Then I tried to mimic the percentage of momentum to broad market that was my domestic ETFs with IDMO and VXUS.
Let me know your thoughts.
This is for a taxable account btw, I’ll probably be going more growth focused in my Roth.
