Hi all, Italian 28M living in Germany.
After a couple years of work I finally decided to invest something for my future in etfs.
Since i’m just approaching this field, I wanted to go safe and I preferred to go for geographical diversification over industrial field diversification.
I was conflicted between two choices:
- go for S&P as main and cover the rest with msci world ex-US + eventually Emerging Markets
- go for Msci world + Emerging Markets
I decided that the second one is “safer”, even if S&P has a really low cost with respect to the others, because I think the first choice is much more USA dependent, and even if historically it always went well, you never know.
I am almost convinced to go for
80% msci world (swda)
15% msci em (EUNM)
5% nasdaq (qqq), just because I want a small shift in tech, I think this field will go well nonetheless
What do you think about this, I’d like to hear opinions from people that have experience in investing.
