Lost more money than I'd like to admit over 5 years. Not because my setups were bad. Because I kept doing dumb shit I knew I shouldn't be doing
Revenge trading after losses. FOMO entries. Trading tired. Sizing up after a win because I was "feeling it." Holding losers out of hopium. Classic degen stuff
I knew all of it was killing me. Just didn't want to admit it because then I'd have to actually change. Easier to blame market makers and algos ...and the fed. And my broker. And that one random red candle lol
Finally started tracking the actual problem....myself:
\- What trade number of the day (trade #4+ was almost always garbage)
\- Day of week (Tuesdays were destroying me for some reason)
\- Whether I actually followed my rules or just winged it
\- Time between trades (back-to-back trades = disaster)
Turns out my "inconsistency" wasn't random. Same setups, completely different results depending on my state. 15-20% higher win rate when rested vs tired. That was eye opening tbh
Still not a millionaire. But I stopped speedrunning account blowups so that's progress I guess
Anyone else track their own degeneracy or am I the only one?
