Hello all. I am looking to create a portfolio of about 5 positions to start off with. I have about $10,000 to start off with. I could go a little higher to about $15,000 but i would like to keep some money on the side to DCA. I have been looking at the dividend kings as that seems like the safest bet (correct me if I am wrong). I have been using CHATGPT to help decide who to pick and this is what it chose.
VZ ( high yield anchor )
PFE ( defensive income + recovery potential )
O ( real estate income + diversification )
MO ( income powerhouse )
MMM ( dividend growth + industrial exposure )
I am also looking into 1 position that is a little more high risk. I have seen quite a few people here talk about BCAT and BITO. Looking into them a little bit and was leaning more towards BCAT.
Does this seem like a solid foundation to start off with? Any red flags you guys see? Another position that i could maybe swap one out for?
