Getting more involved with my finances - do I stop my retirement contributions for ~6 months to fully fund my emergency fund? Or do I split it 50% over a year so I’m still funding both?

My partner (36) and I (35) currently save about 18-19% of our household income to retirement. Our emergency fund is at about $18k, and my goal is to get that to $50k so it’s a combination emergency and sinking fund. We have admittedly not prioritized the EF as much as we should have.
I’m anticipating a bonus with a take home of about $12k. $9k of that will go directly into savings, bringing the EF up to about $27k.
I’m considering pausing my retirement contributions beyond match (which is only 2% for me anyways…long story) for 6 months to almost fully fund our EF.
I rationally know that the EF needs to be funded, but I’ve maxed my retirement contributions since my 20’s. I need some encouragement that the 6 month pause won’t break our retirement goals.
