Had 6k in credit card debt and 7k in savings, and instead of paying off the cards, I put the 7k into the market. Worst decision ever, now I’m down to about 3.5k and I’m stuck wondering if I should pull it out at a loss and pay off what I can, or just hold. I’m 21 and started investing when I was 19. I bought PLTR, SOFI, NVIDIA, and some other solid stuff around May 2023 and honestly thought I was just a great investor. Then I had to sell at a decent profit to buy a car for college.
I started again recently after saving up some money. Normally I just pay off my cards, but I had the “genius” idea to throw it into the market, make a shit ton, and then wipe out the debt and keep the difference. Clearly that didn’t work and the logic was retarded. The fact I could lose so hard in a bull market like this is embarrassing I just went too hard on random stocks and stopped investing started gambling
