I had a call option for exxon mobil that I sold last week because my date till expiration was coming up on the 16th and I had already held it for 4 months. I made $75. My call was for a strike price of $120 and I bought it for $300. I sold the option when exxon was at $122. Now, exxon is at $130 and rose over 6%. I would have made $1500 and I'm just trying not to get frustrated with myself over a skyrocket in price that I couldn't have predicted if I tried. How do you guys go about navigating situations like this? I'm 21 and recently got into trading and am still working on separating emotions from the market. To emphasize why this hurts more, my portfolio was only $300. I put my entire account into that one call (it wasn't as risky because I had a 4 month DTE). However, this would have increased my account size by 5x. Aaaahhhhhh
