I’ve been a YouTuber for about a year, but I've been in this sub for much longer.
Looking for content ideas, I decided to do a deep dive and track the performance of 16 popular stock YouTubers who made "Top Stocks for 2025" videos a year ago. I honestly went into this expecting to expose them for underperforming, but the data proved me wrong**:**
* **15 out of 16** YouTubers (who picked between 5 and 20 stocks) beat the S&P 500 in 2025.
* **3** of them generated returns of over **+50%.**
* Only **one** underperformed the index.
This leaves me with a few questions for the community:
1. Is this pure luck/survivorship bias?
2. Was the 2025 rally so broad that almost any basket of "tech/growth" stocks would have beaten the index?
3. Do you think they can repeat this in 2026?
