I made this post last week: [https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/1pw5vxr/how\_many\_of\_you\_regards\_are\_straight\_up\_leaving/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/1pw5vxr/how_many_of_you_regards_are_straight_up_leaving/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Most of you correctly pointed out how stupid it is. But if I weren't phenomenally dumb I wouldn't be here.
For a whole week I followed what the AI said. I bought and shorted what it wanted me to buy or short. And it gave me stop losses and take profits.
I provided it with the dumbest directions I could: to make 2 or 3 trades a day with the goal of giving me a 2% to 5% daily profit.
In the course of the week it came up with 16 trades. The portfolio is up 8% and yesterday at market open was up 11% for a bit. It got 9 trades right, 5 didn't go as it planned and 2 are still pending. The pending 2 are responsible for the 3% loss, but the AI told me not to sell and hold into the weekend (they are APP and WDAY longs).
Many people in the previous post misunderstood what the AI does. I'm not relying on the chatbots we all use. I made a 10k line software with different agentic pipelines that expose the AI to the internet and financial data. Each pipeline is tasked to create reports from different perspectives (macro, micro, technical, news...) and a separate pipeline is exposed to market data and then tasked to analyze all the other reports to form a thesis/strategy. This final pipeline has also the freedom to search anything online for many steps while it writes various drafts for its decision. It's a LOT of data and the pipelines are made so that the context window doesn't get unmanageably big, while retaining the important information (no RAG).
I look forward to your insults and also to losing everything that I gained (and more).
