**The Problem:** We typically measure investor success by **Outcome** (Did you make money?), not **Process** (Did you correctly assess the risk?). This creates "Survivorship Bias." An investor who puts 100% of their portfolio into a meme stock and gets lucky is hailed as a genius, while a prudent risk manager is ignored. Furthermore, saying *"Stock X will hit $200"* is mathematically useless without a confidence interval. **The Idea:** I am a developer building a platform that forces users to be intellectually honest. We don't predict prices; we predict **Probability Density Functions (PDFs)**. **How it works:** 1. **The Baseline (The Enemy):** * **Short Term:** The system generates a "Market Consensus" curve derived from the **Options Chain (Implied Volatility)**. You aren't competing against me; you are competing against the Market Maker. * **Long Term (3yr+):** For predictions where options don't exist, you compete against the **Crowd Consensus** (the average curve of all user predictions). 2. **The Input:** * You don't need to draw. You adjust 3 sliders: **Bias** (Direction), **Conviction** (Variance), and **Tail Risk** (Skew). * *Example:* "I believe the Market Maker is overestimating the crash risk, so I am tightening the left tail." 3. **The Scoring (Brier/Log Score):** * We use proper scoring rules. If you assign a 99% probability to a tight range and the price lands outside it, your reputation score is nuked (Logarithmic penalty). * This rewards calibration. The top of the leaderboard won't be the "luckiest" traders, but the ones who consistently identify when the market's pricing of probability is wrong. **Why I'm building this:** I want to find the signal in the noise.
