Hi everyone,
I’m currently evaluating a potential investment in the iShares STOXX Europe 600 Insurance UCITS ETF and I’d like to hear some external opinions.
For context, I work in the insurance industry, more specifically as a cyber insurance broker. From an insider’s perspective, I see that revenues across insurance broker companies are consistently growing, even though we’re currently in a soft market phase with pricing pressure and increased competition. Demand for coverage (especially cyber) keeps rising, and risk awareness across industries is still expanding (e.g. NIS2 is pushing it).
Given this background, how do you see the opportunity of buying in now and holding the ETF for about 5 years?
Do you think the current market conditions make this a reasonable entry point for a medium-term horizon?
Looking forward to your thoughts and insights.
TY
