Hello reddit. Obvious throwaway for obvious reasons.
Back around early 2000's I may or may not have dabbled in herb.
At the time, I purchased seeds from either online or from in person during my travels in europe.
I have all original packaging and stored them in a tin in their individeual baggies. Would have been circle 2005-2009 ish.
Around 2011 I divorced, and growing herb was simply not a priority .. turns out I still had the altoids tin with these seeds from 2005-2008 or so. These have always 100% been stored in
room temp, 70-80 degrees. low humidity, as in my home living space, and fully in the dark,
as they have been in dark, sealed in the tin.
I'd like some advice. Some of these strains are lost, as in there is so much cross breeding, they dont exist anymore. I have original seeds. I wish I had more of what I grew back then.
Here is my question, if you had these what would you do?
I am kind of thinking .. fuck no, dont just grow bud to smoke it. I can work with three rooms.
I am kind of thinking, dedicate 3 pristine setups for 3 strains, and encourage both male and female. grow fucking seeds. Is there any interest in these old strains?
If you had possible to do 3 pristine rooms to do 3 setups. Which of these would you do?
Should I just grow em out kill males and smoke it? Does anyone even care about these old genetics anymore? If so, which ones should I invest time in?
Here is what I got.
white label, white gold, 5x
dutch passion, orange bud, 5x
sweet seeds, green poison, 1x
white russian, feminized, 4x
short stuff auto - blue himalaya 8x
short stuff - snowryder 5x
world of seeds:
northern lights x big bud, 1x
new york 47, 1x
ahfgan kush ryder, 1x
dinafem
blue widow, 1x
moby dick 1x
Do these even matter anymore? If those were in your possession, what 3 would you do?
Is recreating these original strains and keeping these old genetics a worthwhile idea?
