Memory leaders benefit from HBM4 demand
Korean memory leaders are leading the market as foreign brokers aggressively raise operating-profit and target-price estimates: Samsung Electronics toward 240,000 won and SK hynix toward 1 million won. NVIDIA's Vera Rubin platform requires HBM4, and only Samsung, SK hynix, and Micron can supply it; with Micron behind, HBM4 supply is likely a two-way race between Samsung and SK hynix. SK hynix has been dominant, but HBM4 could narrow the gap. Near-term overheat and Samsung's provisional earnings are correction risks, so buy gradually or on dips and hold existing positions rather than chase with leverage.
AI semis lead over M7
The US market is also led by AI-related semiconductor names while the Magnificent 7 stalls. Micron jumped 10% and semiconductor equipment leaders Lam Research and Applied Materials hit record highs, showing that the market's real leadership is in AI semiconductors rather than mega-cap tech.
AMD lacks CUDA-like software moat
AMD's main weakness is that it lacks a strong software platform like Nvidia's CUDA. Even if AMD hardware is competitive, without that software ecosystem it struggles to attract major customers; Lisa Su's presentation reinforced the gap rather than closing it.
Hyundai re-rated as AI robotics platform
Hyundai Motor is being re-rated as an AI robotics platform rather than a traditional automaker. Its Boston Dynamics Atlas humanoid is moving into real factory deployment at HMGMA, where humanoids are placed on actual lines and corrected on the job, a more practical industrial approach than lab demonstrations. The speaker views this as the start of humanoid robots entering real-world industrial use and sees Hyundai as a leading physical-AI beneficiary.
Hyundai robotics lifts group value chain
As Hyundai's robotics and physical-AI strategy gains credibility, the group's related value-chain stocks are moving together. The speaker names Hyundai AutoEver, HL Mando, SL, and Hyundai Mobis as beneficiaries of the group's robotics and AI push.
Foreign buying supports KOSPI
Foreign investors have returned to net buying in KOSPI, encouraged by the won stabilizing around the 1,430-1,440 range and by global semiconductor leadership. Although they sell KOSDAQ and futures, the KOSPI flow is positive, and the speaker views foreign supply-demand as a support for Korean equities. Near-term overbought conditions and Samsung's provisional earnings are risks, but corrections are buying opportunities.
Geopolitical risk drives gold and silver
Gold and silver are in a strong rally driven by safe-haven demand after Trump's Venezuela attack and rising geopolitical tensions, including talk about Greenland and Colombia. This is shifting capital toward safe-haven assets.
Copper is this year's gold
The speaker expects copper to be 'this year's gold' as the broad commodity rally continues. Geopolitical tensions after Trump's Venezuela action and threats toward other countries are driving resource and safe-haven demand, and copper is his favored commodity call.
Buy Korean entertainment on overreaction
Korean entertainment stocks have fallen too much on a negative interpretation of Xi Jinping's comments that the China-Korea cultural thaw will take time. The speaker views the market reaction as overdone because earnings should be strong this year, with major artists including BTS making comebacks and holding many concerts. He says these stocks are a buy on this dip.
