HSTech: high payoff, low win ratio
Hang Seng Tech has low valuations but could be a value trap with too much downside risk. The setup is a high payoff ratio but low win ratio, not suitable for tight-benchmark investors. It is better to wait for US yields to come down and China policy to pivot to consumption before committing. For now, treat technology as a long-dated option: cut some exposure to avoid volatility but hold a small position because tech is the key trend and contributes 70% of earnings.

CATL sodium batteries ready for AI storage
CATL has begun volume production of sodium-ion batteries this year and is ramping supply. The dual-track lithium-ion and sodium strategy targets energy storage for AI data centers, where CATL's combined supercapacitor and battery design provides instant power surge and long duration. The company is also ready for production in Hungary pending final government greenlight. This positions CATL to benefit from exploding AI data center power storage demand.

Indonesian market cheap; buy selectively
Indonesia has avoided an immediate MSCI downgrade but remains warned. The JCI is down 32% in dollar terms, trading at 9x forward earnings with light positioning and low expectations. These are typically good ingredients for investors. Stay selective, don't be paralyzed by headlines. Quality balance sheets, strong cash flows, export-oriented dollar earners with cash flow yields around 20% and low P/E and P/B offer recovery potential.
