Yen to remain challenged until conflict ends
The yen will remain challenged against the dollar until the Strait of Hormuz reopens, as the conflict drives a strong dollar safe-haven bid, making intervention necessary and keeping the yen under pressure. A BOJ rate hike is expected in July or June, but it won't reverse the weakness without a resolution in the Middle East.
