Bitcoin top; target $60k.
Clem Chambers is bearish on Bitcoin after exiting near $100,000. He argues the run has been driven by geopolitical flight demand rather than durable adoption: if conflicts continue it may stay strongish, but if peace breaks out he expects it below $100,000, and his target is $60,000. He also sees Iran's large share of Bitcoin mining and hash rate as a long-term negative because it shows Bitcoin being used for sanctions evasion, and he personally avoids crypto because large holdings create physical-security risks.
M2 inflation favors commodities and precious metals.
Clem says his positioning has shifted more toward precious metals and commodities because M2 money supply keeps rising and inflation will stay elevated. He notes that money printing is inflationary when it reaches ordinary people, and he holds hard assets as a hedge even though he instinctively dislikes commodities.
Gold benefits from war and money printing.
Clem is bullish gold because M2 expansion and elevated inflation support hard assets, and because gold is for war: rising geopolitical tension forces central banks to buy and hold gold reserves ahead of conflict, and they cannot wait until the last minute to buy. He prefers precious metals and commodities for this money-printing and conflict environment.
Platinum and palladium: AI scarcity, upside.
Clem is highly bullish platinum and palladium. His thesis is AI's insatiable energy demand will keep fossil fuels, coal, and catalytic converters in use, requiring platinum and palladium for pollution control. Supply is tiny, about 200 tons each annually versus gold and silver, and platinum historically traded at parity or more versus gold, so he sees platinum eventually reaching about $5,000, roughly one-to-one with gold, and possibly more; he owns more platinum than anything else.
Copper shortage from AI and electrification.
Clem is bullish copper because there is not enough supply for global electrification and especially for the AI infrastructure buildout, and he argues the market has not yet priced the coming copper demand. He expects copper to eventually move sharply like platinum and says metals broadly will go nuts over the next two to three years.
M2 liquidity supports US equities.
Clem would allocate a large windfall primarily to equities. He argues that as long as M2 keeps rising, stocks can continue higher because markets are juiced with money supply, and he does not view high S&P levels alone as a sell signal.
Short MicroStrategy, long Bitcoin arbitrage.
Clem points out that MicroStrategy trades at a large premium, around 80% when he last checked, to the Bitcoin it holds. He suggests shorting MicroStrategy and buying Bitcoin to capture the spread, calling this kind of premium a sign of late-market insanity or a top.
Altcoin season may be late-cycle finale.
Clem sees the recent altcoin rally as a possible late-cycle secondary-top signal. He thinks another alt season could still run for three to four months, but it would likely mark the final phase of the four-year crypto cycle before a winter. He is not personally excited about holding alts and remains on the sidelines due to physical-security risks.
Crypto use-case projects will blossom.
Clem expects regulatory relief after the SEC's enforcement era to unleash a wave of crypto and blockchain projects with real use cases and credible teams, likely emerging in 2026. He says he will dabble when these projects appear and sees them potentially becoming very valuable, though they are not here yet.
Metals will go nuts on AI.
Clem argues the AI industrial revolution will require vast energy and infrastructure, so the periodic table and metals are back in fashion and there will not be enough supply. He expects metals broadly to go nuts over the next two to three years as these shortages become the bottleneck everything pivots around.
