=== SUMMARY ===
- Post argues Uber is undervalued due to fear of Waymo/Tesla competition, despite strong marketplace position, international scale, data moat, and 50M subscription subscribers.
- Author sees Uber as a tech/data company with growth-stock characteristics but value-stock pricing, setting a $100 price target.
- Quality assessment: Speculation with limited depth ("pop a squat" write-up); lacks rigorous financial analysis but reflects a plausible contrarian value thesis.

=== TRADE IDEAS ===
UBER - LONG | confidence: 0.75 | sentiment: +0.70
Speaker: u/Majesticelephant101
Thesis:
1. THE FACT: Uber has 50M+ subscription subscribers, global marketplace reach, and extensive data advantages; it trades at a discount due to Waymo/Tesla fears.
2. THE BRIDGE: If fear subsides or Uber’s moat proves durable, multiple expansion and continued growth could drive shares toward $100+.
3. THE VERDICT: Bet on Uber as a mispriced growth/tech hybrid with a defensible network effect.
4. RISKS: Waymo/Tesla autonomous competition accelerates; subscription growth stalls; customer support issues (per comment) could churn users; stock may remain flat for extended period (per top comment).
Timeframe: medium-term
Key Points:
- Marketplace network effects create moat
- 50M subscribers show recurring revenue shift
- International diversification reduces single-market risk
- Valuation discount vs. growth rate is key
- Customer experience complaints = retention risk
=== COMMENTS SUMMARY ===
Community sentiment is cautiously bullish: one commenter calls Uber a “genuine deal,” but another warns it “can stay another year flat.” A critique highlights poor customer support (Uber One cancellation issues), adding operational risk. Overall, the post’s bullish thesis is acknowledged but tempered with skepticism about near-term price action and competition.

Just recently did a lot of diving into Uber. Tell me your thoughts…
I feel it’s trading at a serious discount. I know it’s trading that way because of Waymo and Tesla fears, but I feel they are unfounded.
Uber is the marketplace. They are growing like a growth stock, but not valued like one. They have plans for more than cars and food, operate internationally, have SO much data… and the ultimate goal seems to be their subscription plan… which has 50m subscribers and growing… This is a tech and data company. At a minimum $100 a share seems like a good goalpost.
This isn’t my best write up as I’m popping a squat at the moment, but I’d love to hear thoughts from the bulls and bears on this.
