Hi my fellow value investors,
I have been in Intel since 2022. At the time it was going around 30$ to 40$ and this entire forum was full of posts that Intel was undervalued.
I know my first buy was well over 40$ but I kept buying it until 20$ leaving me with an average price of 28$.
At the time I fully believed in the turnaround story and felt the market was def not pricing this in. With me so many people on this forum, as there was really dozens of posts about it.
It had been very very painful years to be honest. I wasnt happy seeing the market misprice intel that way. But Intel finally started to turn around. In Intel Products Lunar Lake (September 2024) was the first sign of a recovery, the first time Intel could actually still make a top product (even if produced at TSMC). From this time I believed intel would be okay and I could tune out bad news easier. And since then the good news has kept coming and the stock reacted in turn.
This year when Intel hit 60$ the posts about Intel being overvalued started to pop up, including on this forum. I just ignored and held.
Now today Im looking back on a wild ride as Intel delivered some really good earnings and reaches half a trilion. Of course I feel very happy that all us value investors who were promoting Intel in 2022-2023 turned out to be right. So asside from the discussion if Intel at 100$ is overvalued or not, I still see this as a victory for value investors.
So this is about looking back, who else was here, on this forum, in 2022 believing in the turnaround story and bought intel as a value/turnaround play?
