[+5] u/goldtank123: I still don’t properly understand how I benefit from a company that makes more money. Apart from people buying the stock at higher values such as mu and Sandisk, how else does anyone benefit if there is no dividend? The idea that there will always be a buyer makes this a gamble and a game of hot potato. Many people call this a sophisticated gambling and pyramid scheme in a way. Plenty of healthy companies lost value in every recession. Holding their stock didn’t do anything.
