VIX jumping from $18-$28 the entire year. Everyone switching to credit spreads, iron condors, structures which are short vega.
Am looking for relative strength, SPY dropped today but RKLB held strong showing a lot of relative strength vs the market so opened OTM calendar at $77.
Buying longs 30dte for ER week, selling weeklies leading to ER, opened about a month before earnings. IV should maintain in longs and is resilient against market sell-offs.
Credit spreads when stochastic RSI 2hour shows top or bottom on SPY and momentum is flipping.
1. Calendars OTM for relative strength tickers after SPY has sold off
2. Credit spreads when VIX over $25+ usually put credit spreads since price should rebound only 10% chance goes over $30.
3. Arbitrage volatility plays buying high IV longs for ER week, selling higher IV weekly shorts
