These aren't LEAPS..
to your questions, I believe META's capex is directly tied to its growing ad revenue and definitely justified. The only thing that isn't justified and why it's in the gutter is mark's total ambiguity about how that capex is deployed and which "internal tools" are being developed and how they tie into the revenue growth from their core business. the "trust me bro" mark is doing is what nobody's buying. Literally tell investors where that capex is going and at least there'll be some clarity relief.
MSFT's capex is justified, it just needs to wait out the AI-will-kill-all-SaaS doomerism overhang that's been going on for 2 quarters now.
