I used to think better analysis meant more spreadsheets, more metrics, and more tabs open.
More metrics. More spreadsheets. More tabs open. Over time, that approach just slowed me down and made decisions harder.
Now I try to keep things simple. A few core questions. A quick look at the business quality. A check on price versus value.
I am not trying to predict the future perfectly. I just want to avoid obvious bad bets.
I am curious how others approach this. What does your simplest workable analysis look like.
What do you actually use, not what sounds impressive?
